Data

Values

  • Color — A color value made of red, green, blue and alpha, each between 0 and 1.
  • Variable — A single named number, with units, that other blocks can read.

Document

  • Document — Another document, used as a block.
  • Document Input — One input of this document when another document uses it as a block: the value that document sets, by this block's name.
  • Document Output — One output of this document when another document uses it as a block: what arrives at Value, of any kind, which that document reads by this block's name (as block.Name).
  • Samples — The sample points of a study, for the document this block uses: a Table with one column per number Document Input of that document, named like the Input, and one row per sample.
  • Study — A parameter study of the document this block uses: the document computed once per row of a Table whose columns are named like its Document Inputs, each row's values set on those Inputs (an Input without a column keeps its default).

Lists

  • List — Items of one kind in a fixed order, one row each: bodies, fields, numbers, points, curves, limits, anything.
  • List Element — Picks a single item out of a list by its position.
  • Insert — Splices the items of one list into another at a chosen position.
  • Remove — The list with a run of consecutive items taken out; the rest keep their order.
  • Sub List — A run of consecutive items taken from a list.

Text

  • Join Texts — Joins every text of a list end to end, in order, with an optional separator between neighbours.
  • Number to Text — Writes a number as text, rounded to a chosen count of significant digits.
  • Split Text — Cuts a text into a Text List wherever the delimiter occurs.
  • Text to Number — Reads a number out of a text, such as "12.5" or "1e-3".

Tables

  • Column to Text — Reads one column of a Table out as a Text List, chosen by position or by header.
  • Columns to Table — Puts Columns side by side into a Table, in row order.
  • Dictionary — Builds a Dictionary from a list of keys and a list of values of the same length, pairing them by position.
  • Text to Column — Makes a table Column: a header plus a Text List holding its cells, top to bottom.

Import

  • Import Mesh — Loads a triangle mesh from an STL or OBJ file.
  • Import Point Values — Loads Point Values from a CSV file with one `x,y,z,v` row per point, separated by commas or spaces; blank lines and lines starting with # are skipped.
  • Import Points — Reads a Point List from a CSV file with one `x, y, z` row per point and no header line.
  • Import Solid — Loads a Solid from a 3MF implicit file, such as one written by Export Solid.
  • Import STEP — Loads a STEP file as a CAD Part that keeps its bodies, faces and edges, so they can be picked downstream (CAD Body, then CAD Body to Solid).
  • Import Table — Reads a CSV file into a Table.

Export

  • Export Mesh — Saves a mesh to a file as binary STL (default), OBJ or 3MF, and reports whether the file is closed and manifold as a slicer reads it (corners the file stores at one place count as one), and whether it is in several separate pieces thicker than the mesh's tolerance (printed, all but the largest come out loose; a piece right at the tolerance is named, since another computer could count it the other way).
  • Export Solid — Saves a Solid as a 3MF levelset: the field itself as a function graph, with no triangles, so the reader picks its own resolution and a lattice stays a few nodes.
  • Export STEP — Saves a CAD body as a STEP file with exact B-rep surfaces, which CAD packages read.
  • Export Table — Writes a Table to a CSV file when the document is evaluated: a header line, then one line per row.
  • Export Tet Mesh — Saves a tet mesh for an FE solver: Abaqus .inp (default) or legacy ASCII VTK .vtk.
  • Export Text — Writes text to a file when the document is evaluated.
