Shoots a ray from a point in a direction and returns where it first meets a Solid's surface. Reports an error if no surface is reached within the step limit.
The Solid the ray is aimed at.
Where the ray starts. Defaults to the origin.
Direction the ray travels. Defaults to straight down (-Z).
How close to the surface, in mm, counts as a hit.
How steep the field can be: 1 for a true distance field. Raise it if the ray skips through thin walls.
Maximum number of steps before giving up.
Values the block gives besides its output. The editor lists them under Properties, and an input can read one by reference.
The point as a Solid, built from the distance to it.
The point's x coordinate.
The point's y coordinate.
The point's z coordinate.
The vector from the world origin to this point.
Distance to the point as a field; zero at the point.
