Join Curves

Chains curves that meet end to end into one continuous Curve. Pieces are flipped as needed; it fails if a piece does not touch the chain's open end.

Inputs

Curves List of Curve

A Curve List to join, used instead of the rows when wired.

Takes: any block that gives Curve (17 blocks)

Output

Curve

Used by: any block that takes Curve (22 blocks)

Properties

Values the block gives besides its output. The editor lists them under Properties, and an input can read one by reference.

StartPoint Point

Where the curve begins.

EndPoint Point

Where the curve ends.

StartTangent Vector

The curve's unit direction at its start.

EndTangent Vector

The curve's unit direction at its end.

Direction Vector

Unit vector along the straight chord from start to end.

Length Number

Length measured along the curve.

CenterPoint Point

The center of the curve's bounding box.

BoundingBox Bounding Box

The axis-aligned extent of the curve.

ScalarField Number

Distance to the curve as a field, zero on the curve; give it volume with Thicken Surface.

ArcLength Number

At each point, how far along the curve its nearest curve point lies (computed on the CPU only).

Closed Yes/No

True when the curve's end meets its start.

Name Text

The display name of the node that made the curve.

ReversedCurve Curve

The same curve, running from end to start.
