A linear-elastic material in N·mm·MPa units, Ti-6Al-4V by default. It is isotropic unless a build-axis modulus is set; then its stiffness along the build direction differs (printed-part orthotropy).
Young's modulus E in MPa (default 110 000); the in-plane value when a build-axis modulus is set.
Poisson's ratio ν (default about 0.31). The shear modulus follows as G = E / (2(1 + ν)).
Density in tonne/mm³ (default 4.43e-9, i.e. 4.43 g/cm³).
Allowable (yield) stress in MPa (default 880), used for example by member sizing.
Young's modulus along the build direction in MPa. 0 (default) keeps the material isotropic.
Build direction used with the build-axis modulus (default +Z). Normalised; a zero vector means +Z.
Values the block gives besides its output. The editor lists them under Properties, and an input can read one by reference.
Young's modulus E: how stiff the material is in tension.
Shear modulus G: how stiff the material is in shear.
The material's mass per unit of volume.
The highest stress the material may carry, its yield stress.
